What do I need to bring with me to my driving test at the DMV in Connecticut?

On test day, you need to have your learner's permit, glasses or contacts if you wear them, the CT R-229 Form, and your e-DEC Completion Certificate with evidence that you completed driver's education.

You are required to have closed toed and closed heeled shoes. After you pass your test, you will need to pay an $84 licensing fee to the State.

The CT R-229 Form is e-mailed to you as an attachment with your confirmation from the DMV.

The e-DEC is issued by your driving school. This form is digital and will be emailed. We require advanced notice to issue an e-DEC to students, so be sure to plan ahead!
