How long do I have to hold my learner's permit in Connecticut before I can test for my license?
A teen driver that takes the full driver's ed program must hold a permit for 120 days. A teen new driver that takes the 8 hour safe driving course must hold a permit for 180 days. An adult new driver must hold a permit for 90 days.
